Sri Vijaya Puram Sep 18: Mr. Rakeshwar Lall, State President of Hindu Rashtra Shakti, has lodged a formal complaint with the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, highlighting the repeated misuse of official government vehicles by certain departments.
In his complaint, Mr. Lall alleged that government vehicles, meant strictly for official duties, are being routinely diverted for personal purposes. Instances cited include daily pick-up and drop-off of children to private tuition centers and schools. Vehicles have also allegedly been used for personal shopping and other private errands.
Terming it a “serious breach of trust” and a misuse of taxpayers’ funds, Mr. Lall urged the Chief Secretary to order an impartial inquiry, identify those responsible, and initiate strict disciplinary action as per government conduct rules.
He further stressed that public resources must be utilized solely for public service, and not for private benefit, urging immediate corrective steps to safeguard administrative integrity.
