
Sri Vijaya Puram, Sep 02: Mr. Anil Kumar Tiwari, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, was on a two-day visit to Little Andaman on 30th and 31st of August 2025. This was his maiden visit to the island after he assumed the charge of BJP State President on 1st July 2025. He was accompanied by Mrs. Sheela Singh, State Vice President, Mr. G Paramasivam, State General Secretary, Mr. K Paramasivam, State Secretary, Mr. Manindra Mandal, South Andaman District President, Mr. SP Ellango, State Media Convenor and Mr. Gangadhar Suresh, Senior Party worker from Telugu Community.
On the arrival of the delegation, the local party workers and people of Little Andaman accorded warm welcome.
Later on the day party workers’ meetings were held at 4 different panchayats.
The first meeting was held at Hut Bay where Mr. Tiwari, while delivering his maiden strong message to the workers said that he will not tolerate any kind of groupism or backbiting approaches by party workers or local leaders. He asked the workers to solve their differences within the party forum and stop exposing differences in the public domain. He called upon the workers to work hard for the growth of the party and to strengthen the hands of Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister. He also motivated all workers to work to ensure that all the PRI seats in Little Andaman are bagged by BJP in next election and to make Congress mukt Little Andaman as per the wish of Mr. Amit Shah, Home Minister.
Mrs. Sheela Singh, Vice President BJP, also addressed all four meetings. Speaking to the workers she touched upon the various social welfare schemes being implemented by the Modi Government since 2014. She also requested the party workers, particularly women folks, to actively participate in party activities so that women are empowered as equals.
Similar meetings were also held at Ramkrishnapur, Rabindranath Nagar, and Vivekananda Pur.
Mr. G.Paramasivam, State Gen. Secretary, Mr. Manindar Mandal, District President South Andaman and various other local leaders also addressed the workers at different meetings held on the day.
On Sunday at 11:00 am, the State President watched the “Mann Ki Baat” program of Mr. Narendra Modi at the house of Mrs. Leoni Lakra, a Chota Nagpuri community member and ward member of BJP in Hut Bay Panchayat.
Later in the evening at 04:30 pm a Dharna was organized at Netaji Nagar in front of the Block Congress Committee Office to slam the abusive and derogatory terms used by Rahul Gandhi against the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi. An effigy of Rahul Gandhi was lit on fire as a mark of protest by the BJP workers in the presence of the State President.
The delegation returned back to Sri Vijaya Puram after a successful tour today i.e, 01/09/2025.
