Port Blair, Apr 21: PCC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma has demanded for intensive care unit and dialysis centre in the District Hospitals of Car Nicobar and Mayabunder.
In his letter to the Administrator, Mr. Sharma mentioned the pathetic conditions of the poor patients of Car Nicobar and North & Middle Andaman who in absence of these above centres have to rush to Port Blair along with their attendants and while coming to Port Blair both, the patients and their attendants have to incur extra expenditure.
“In many cases the patients who have nobody to look after their small families, prefer to avoid going to Port Blair for further treatment, bear the pain of their ailments and fall victim of circumstances,” Mr. Sharma mentioned in his letter.

I am planning to visit Andaman in the month of November, I am on Dialysis and I am not sure about GB Pant Hospital as I am not finding any review about the dialysis unit.
