Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 20:In connection with National Sports Day–2025 celebration which marks the Birth Anniversary of Hockey Wizard Major Dhyan Chand, the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs and Department of Education is organizing various competitions. As part of the celebration, a Badminton Tournament (Doubles – Men & Women) was organized yesterday in the Multipurpose Hall of the Netaji Stadium, Sri Vijaya Puram.
In the Men’s Doubles, 12 teams participated while in Women’s Doubles, 8 teams participated. The event was inaugurated by Shri. Biswanath Sen, Assistant Director (Sports), Department of Sports & Youth Affairs. In his address, he encouraged the players to showcase their talent and maintain spirit of sportsmanship.
