Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 17: Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA) Junglighat, Sri Vijaya Puram, celebrated the “79th Independence of India” on 15th August 2025, Friday. The programme was arranged at Anant Vihar Colony, Teylrabad, Garacharma, Sri Vijaya Puram, South Andam at 6.00pm. Mr. Tapas Kumar Das, President of Academy was the Chief Guest in this cultural programme. The Function was inaugurated with the floral tribute in front of the National Flag by the Chief Guest and others. Mrs. Rekha Rani Dhar, Treasurer of Academy who welcomed the gathering.
The members of Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA) presented an inaugural song “Vande Mataram”. After that one-by-one Mrs. Namita Home Chowdhury and Sri Chinmoy Das present solo songs and Tabla accompanied by Sri Sounabh Home Chowdhury in front of the gathering. The audience was mesmerized by the speech by the Chief Guest. The audience enjoyed the entire programme.
The programme was concluded at 8.30pm with the vote of thanks by Mr. Soumen Home Chowdhury, the General Secretary of Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA), Junglighat, Sri Vijaya Puram, South Andaman.
