
Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 11: The BPO, Little Andaman, organized an Identification and Medical Assessment camp for Children with Special Needs (CwSN) at the Mini Hall of GMSSS Hutbay, Little Andaman, on August 8, 2025, from 9:00 am.
The program commenced with a bouquet presentation to the Chief Guest, Special Guests, and other dignitaries. After the lamp-lighting ceremony by Chief Guest Mrs. B. Albakka (Mukhya Sevika), Mr. Prabhas Roy (Principal), GMSSS Hutbay, Mrs. F. Nirmala Jayakodi (Headmistress), GMSSS Hutbay, and special guest Ms. Sakshi Baidya (Audiologist), Mr. Rajesh Kumar (EDP) from CRC Brookshabad, Mr. M. Sathaiah (External Observer), Sri Vijayapuram, Mr. P. Niyamatullah (Jr. Investigator), and Ms. Sagarika Mistry (Health Educator).
Programme Coordinator Shri Mohan Prasad (PSRT), GMSSS Hutbay, welcomed the distinguished guests.
Mr. Prabhas Roy (Principal) addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of the Medical Assessment camp for CwSN students. Doctors conducted health check-ups and assessments for new students, while the Health Educator performed health screenings. The ALIMCO team, along with the Doctor, suggested need-based aids and appliances for CwSN students.
The program was successfully conducted with the support of BRPs, BPO staff, Internal Observer Mrs. Darly Samual (Vice Principal), External Observer Mr. M. Sathaiah, and Anganwadi workers. Approximately 50 participants attended the camp. The Identification and Medical Assessment camp for CwSN students was organized effectively, with a good number of CwSN students and their parents participating from the BPO, Little Andaman Zone.
