Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 01: The Andaman and Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) is organizing the RED RUN Marathon of 5 Km on 26th August 2025 (Tuesday) to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS among the general public. This event is open to all individuals aged 15 years and above among the three categories: Male, Female, and Transgender. The run aims to enhance the knowledge of the general population and equip masses with information about HIV & Sexually Transmitted infections (STIs) in a positive environment.
The marathon will start from Andaman Club, proceed to New Lighthouse Restaurant, continue via Rajiv Gandhi Road to Dignabad Jetty and then return along the same route with the finish point at Andaman Club.
Attractive cash prizes will be awarded in each category with ₹10,000 for 1st place, ₹8,000 for 2nd place, and ₹5,000 for 3rd place. The RED RUN is not just a sporting event—it’s a platform to inspire change and build a more informed and compassionate society.
Online registration for the RED RUN will be open from 1st August to 20th August 2025. All participants must report at 06:00 AM on 26th August 2025 (Tuesday) at Netaji Stadium, Sri Vijaya Puram, for the marathon.
