Sri Vijaya Puram, July 31: IGNOU has introduced the Multiple Entry and Multiple Exit Scheme with effect from July 2025 admission cycle for Undergraduate programmes. The IGNOU students will be able to seek exit from a programme at various stages of UG programmes. After successfully completing the first year of UG, a learner can exit with an Undergraduate Certificate. Similarly, after successfully completing the second year and third year of UG, a learner can exit with an Undergraduate Diploma and Bachelor`s Degree with Major respectively. The learners who successfully complete all the four years of UG programme, will be awarded a Bachelor`s Honours Degree in the relevant discipline.
The IGNOU students who have sought exit from a 4-year Undergraduate Programme can seek re-entry to that programme at various stages. The applicants, who have successfully completed UG Сertificate from IGNOU, will be given entry to the second year of the same programme. Similarly, the applicants who have successfully completed Undergraduate Diploma from IGNOU, will be given entry to the third year of the same programme. It is to be noted that students will be allowed entry to a programme in IGNOU for Multiple Entry and Multiple Exit Scheme within a period of 7 years from taking admission.
