Sri Vijaya Puram, July 22: On 20th July 2025, Miss Jayashree Baj, Teacher In-charge, Govt. Middle School, Billyground, organised a rally and Nukkad Natak under the Government of India’s initiative “The School Challenge: Towards a Tobacco-Free Generation.” An awareness programme for the sensitization of parents on narcotics was also held. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Mr. Manojit Halder, Pradhan, GP Harinagar, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest, along with Mr. Dilip Kumar Das, PSM, and Mrs. Sabitri Burman, PRIs Member, as Guests of Honour. Awareness speeches were delivered by officials from the Police Department, school teachers, the Pradhan, and PRIs members, highlighting the harmful effects of tobacco and narcotics and the importance of creating a healthier, drug-free generation. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Miss Jayashree Baj, Teacher In-charge, Govt. Middle School, Billiground.
