Sri Vijaya Puram, July 02: A delegation of PRI members from Ferrargunj Tehsil, under the leadership of Mr. TSG Bhasker, Chairman, Campaign Committee, ANTCC, met the Chief Secretary of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration to address the pressing concerns arising from the closure of the Chatham Bridge.
During the meeting, Mr. TSG Bhasker proposed various alternative measures to alleviate public inconvenience and ensure continuous connectivity considering the Chatham Bridge closure.
He also highlighted several other key concerns, including Reducing the upper age limit for government job eligibility to 27 years, Deployment of a larger vessel to Mayabunder and introducing a connecting bus service up to Diglipur as an interim solution to the poor condition of NH-4, Ensuring affordable airlifting services for stretcher-bound patients to mainland and several other local issues.
The Chief Secretary assured us that the Administration would give due consideration to the issues raised and work towards implementing viable solutions at the earliest.
