Sri Vijaya Puram, Jun 17: In a major step towards safeguarding government assets and upholding rule of law in land governance, the District Administration, South Andaman has successfully reclaimed 20 hectares of government land situated at Manglutan village under Ferrargunj Tehsil.
This land, previously allotted to Andaman Sea Food Cooperative Society Limited has now been officially restored to the Government Revenue account through a Land Restoration Order issued by the District Administration. The order marks the culmination of protracted procedures that spanned over a decade.
As per the restoration order, the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman has instructed the Assistant Settlement Officer, Manglutan Revenue Village to undertake all necessary corrections in the revenue records to reflect the restored legal status of the land.
