Sri Vijaya Puram, Jun 13: A group of 3rd year Geography students of Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkiye Mahavidyalaya today paid visit to Gram Panchayat, Kanyapuram. The visit was a part of their final year study tour program on understanding the local Geo-Social machinery and also to understand how the local forest department is carrying out various initiatives to restore ecological and geological balance. Under the guidance of Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Kanyapuram, Mr.. P. Abdul Basheer, these students interacted with Divisional Forest Officer, South Andaman, Mr. Ashwin Pariyar (IFS) and learned the various initiatives running by the Forest Department. Also these students interacted with Mr. Sarat Kumar, ACF & Mr. Ravi Kant(IFS), ACF.
