Sri VijayaPuram, Jun 06: The Andaman and Nicobar Islands Real Estate Association (ANIREA) extend its heartfelt appreciation to the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands for approving measures to streamline high-volume services of the Revenue Department, A&N Administration.Mr. Mohammed Rafique, General Secretary of ANIREA, expressed his gratitude for the progressive steps outlined in the recent announcement. “We warmly welcome the Lt. Governor’s decision to simplify critical revenue services, including the elimination of separate ‘No Due Certificate’ and ‘Non-Encumbrance Certificate’ requirements,” said Mr.Rafique.
“This move will significantly ease the process for the general public by allowing Sub-Registrars and SDMs to verify revenue dues directly, reducing procedural hurdles. “The discontinuation of the Valuation Certificate issuance, effective from June 9, 2025, is another commendable step. Mr.Rafique noted,
“Aligning property valuation with Circle Rates and removing this additional layer of certification will bring Andaman and Nicobar in line with practices in other States and UTs, fostering transparency and efficiency in real estate transactions.
“Additionally, ANIREA appreciates the Administration’s decision to facilitate the opening of new petrol pumps by ANIIDCO under the Petroleum Act, 1934, and related provisions. “This initiative will cater to the growing demand for fuel services across the islands, supporting both residents and businesses,” Mr.Rafique added.
ANIREA looks forward to continued collaboration with the Administration to further enhance ease of doing business and promote sustainable development in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
