Panchawati, May 26: A startling discovery was made near the Water Treatment Plant in Ward No. 1 of Panchawati, where locals stumbled upon a skeleton deep within a forested stretch. The area, located a few hundred meters above the treatment facility, is known for its dense undergrowth and muddy trails, making it difficult to access and rarely visited.
As per details available, the skeletal remains were found in a secluded patch of forest near a large boulder. The bones appeared to be scattered, with some partially buried under dry leaves and mud. Most notably, while several bones including those from the limbs were visible, the skull was reportedly missing from the site.
Authorities have been alerted and are expected to carry out a detailed forensic examination to ascertain whether the case is linked to a crime, a natural death, or a possible suicide.
The news originally reported by a YouTube Channe Eviland Media, of the skeleton quickly spread across social media platforms, creating a buzz across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, with many speculating it to be a possible human skeleton. However, when contacted, sources in the Health, Police, and Veterinary departments suggested Andaman Sheekha Daily that the bones may not belong to a human but are possibly of a cattle or large animal.
Despite this preliminary assumption, the authorities have decided to send the skeletal remains for forensic testing to confirm the exact nature and origin of the bones. Only after the forensic results are available will the actual details be clear.
