Sri Vijaya Puram, May 20: State President, BJP, A & N Islands Mr. Ajoy Bairagi along with Dr R Dev Das, State Secretary, BJP, A & N Islands called on the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration today on 19/05/2025 and appraised him about the difficulties faced by the fisheries sector and requested to implement the subsidy scheme of the Government of India, extended by the Ministry of Fisheries, particularly for Electricity and Diesel for Fisheries and Aquaculture at par with the subsidy extended for Agriculture Sector in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The Chief Secretary was very prompt in his response and directed the Fisheries Department to take up the matter immediately and extend the benefits by way of subsidy on Electricity and Fuel.
The State President, BJP Mr. Ajoy Bairagi extended gratitude to the Chief Secretary for his prompt and positive response.
