Port Blair, Apr 3: Suryachakra Power Corporation Ltd. will restrict the power supply to 5 MW with effect from 6.00 A.M. on 06-04-2013 onwards.
The company is stopping the DG2 and DG4 as a precautionary measure to avoid any catastrophic failure of engine leading to personnel injury. According to SPCL engine repair going beyond economical repairs as these engines had run more than 30,000 to 35,000 hrs without any overhauling. One engine of SPCL was already down.
