Port Blair, Apr 03: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC led a delegation of the Parents and Students of GDMS School to meet and discuss the problems being faced by GDMS students with the Principal Secretary (Education), Mrs Rina Ray.
Mr. Sharma briefed that the School Authority of GDMS has refused admission of 163 students of class 5th standard to Class 6th standard. As per the School Authority, only 40 students can be admitted to class 6th Standard.
Mr. Sharma informed that all these 163 students are studying in the school from the first standard. The students have got emotionally attached with the school and have passed their examination of 5th Standard from the said school and then also if they are not allowing them to continue in the same school, this will give adverse effect on their mind and requested Mrs. Ray for their further education in the same school.
From parents’ side Miss. Sandhya and Mr. A. Baluswamy asked justice from the Principal Secretary. Mrs. Ray gave a patient hearing and assured admission of the students in the same school.
