Port Blair, Mar 14: A delegation of boat operators, tour operators and bus operators association from Baratang led by PCC President, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma today called on the Lt. Governor, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Bhopinder Singh, PVSM, AVSM and expressed their gratitude to the Lt Governor for keeping the hope and aspirations of the people alive, particularly those relating to ATR issue, which flows from the order passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
The Lt Governor assured that the Administration is committed to protect the interest of the particularly vulnerable tribe on one hand and the interest of the settlers on the other hand. He emphasised that all have to abide by the law for peaceful co-existence.
