Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 20: The Andaman and Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS) observed World Anatomy Day on October 15, 2024, on the death anniversary of Andreas Vesalius with a captivating event themed ‘Anatomy in Motion’. Dr. Pragya Sharma, Director of ANIIMS was the chief guest while Dr. Suja Antony, Director of Health Services (DHS) was the guest of honour.
The event focused on showcasing the relevance of anatomy in medical education with particular emphasis on obstetrics and paediatrics practice. The lectures were engaged by Dr. Pragadeesh, HoD Pediatrics, Dr. Jeevana Reddy, Assistant Professor, OBG, and Dr. Sadeesh. T, HoD, Department of Anatomy.
