Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 20: Training for Enumerators and Supervisors was organized for Phase-II & Phase-III of Agriculture Census 2021-22 by the Directorate of Economics & Statistics in association with Agriculture Census Unit, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi yesterday in the Conference Hall of Directorate of Disaster Management, Sri Vijaya Puram.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Gaurang Mishra, Director of Economics and Statistics called upon the participants to learn and clarify all the doubts related to field survey to be undertaken during the Census. He emphasized that the data collected through Agriculture Census plays a great role in defining Agriculture policies, therefore, the Enumerators and Supervisors should be vigilant in collection and submission of accurate data.
The Research Officer (I/c), Mr. D.S. Clement Stephen urged all the participants to utilize the opportunity of the training in fulfilling the objective of the Census. He assured the participants that all necessary support required during the census shall be extended by the Directorate.
The technical session was conducted by the Resource persons, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Sr. Statistical Officer and Mr. Pankaj Dutt, Data Entry Operator from the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. A detailed presentation was given on Mobile App and Portal for collection and uploading of data developed by Ministry of Agriculture. About 60 Officials from Revenue Department and Statistical Cadre engaged as Enumerators and Supervisors of Agriculture Census attended the training programme.
