Port Blair, Mar 04: Andaman and Nicobar Administration has approved the enhancement of Honorarium of Aganwadi workers and helpers w.e.f 01.04.2013 @ Rs. 5000/- and Rs. 3000/- respectively.
Mr. B.P Ray, Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands had taken up this matter several times through his letters and communications with the Lt. Governor and the concerned Ministries of GOI. Mr. Ray had also raised this matter many times in the floor of Lok Sabha since 2009.
Mr. Ray has expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards the Lt. Governor of these Islands for considering the hike in the honorarium of Aganwadi Workers of these Islands.
