
Port Blair, Aug 18: Mr. Arjun Sharma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman visited Ferrargunj Tehsil on 17/8/24 accompanied by Mr. Vinayak Chamadia, IAS Sub Divisional Magistrate, Pradhan Humfrygunj, PRIs and Revenue Officials.
The team visited the Balidan Vedi at Humphrygunj where the Pradhan proposed for installation of Light and Sound show arrangements at the Balidan Vedi, Humfrygunj to showcase the historical events and residents who sacrificed their lives during the Japanese regime and Set Apart of land was requested by the Pradhan nearby the Balidan Vedi.
The PHC Manglutan was inspected by the officials and the reforms required at the Building were discussed, the non-functional Street Lights of PHC Manglutan for the past 6 months were directed to be replaced immediately by the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman. The Pradhan, Humfrygunj and Electricity Department were directed to coordinate the same
The revenue team visited all the field areas where in various earth cutting permission were sought for. The Deputy Commissioner directed that proposals should not be made without determining the ground reality and the true nature of purpose.
The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman also visited the proposed set-apart sites for various developmental works by the Pradhan, Sippighat. The area proposed for set-apart of land for grazing land Bimblitan village and community hall at Teylarabad village were inspected by the Revenue officials along with the Pradhan, Sippighat. The land for the dumping yard at Sippighat Village which was already set-apart was inspected. The Deputy Commissioner directed Pradhan, Sippighat to submit proposals and submit estimates for early implementation of the community development projects.
