On the auspicious occasion of ‘Raksha Bandhan’, I extend my heartiest greetings and warm wishes to all the residents of A&N Islands.
This sacred festival is a symbol of love and affection between brothers and sisters which portray the respectable place accorded to women in our traditions. This occasion inspires us to live with mutual love, unity and to commit ourselves to the safety and respect of women in the society.
I wish this festival brings harmony and progress in the lives of all Islanders and our Islands continue to march ahead on the path of peace and prosperity.
