Port Blair, Jul 28: In alignment with the Government of India’s esteemed initiative, “EkPedMaaKeNaam,” a social campaign designed to encourage individuals to plant a tree in honour of their mothers, all Police Stations of North & Middle Andaman District have successfully conducted a plantation drive within their respective premises, planting fruit-bearing trees such as Chiku, Guava, Cashew Nut, Mango etc.
The “EkPedMaaKeNaam” campaign aims to foster a greater green cover, elevate environmental awareness, and pay tribute to mothers by contributing positively to nature. By participating in this campaign, the Police Stations have not only honoured the spirit of the initiative but also underscored their commitment to environmental sustainability.
