Port Blair, July 15: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President Shri. Rangalal Halder has formally addressed a letter to The Chief Secretary, A & N Administration, highlighting a critical issue concerning the welfare of patients at the R.K. Pur Primary Health Center (PHC) in Hutbay.
In the letter, Shri. Halder expressed grave concern over the current lack of a structured meal provision system for inpatients at R.K. Pur PHC. He emphasized that many patients and their families are struggling to arrange meals, which not only adds to their stress but also hampers the patients’ overall recovery process. Given the remote location and socio-economic challenges faced by many of the patients, Shri. Halder stressed the urgent need to address this issue.
Shri. Halder stated, “The provision of regular meal service from the Medical Authorities would ensure that all patients receive balanced and nutritious meals, aids in their faster recovery and well-being at the Medical Premises.”
In light of these concerns, Shri. Halder urges the Administration to direct and make the necessary arrangements for the provision of meals to the inpatients at R.K. Pur PHC to significantly improve patient care and strengthen the trust of the tribal community in the healthcare system.
