
Port Blair, July 14: NCC Cadets of Andaman and Nicobar Islands bid adieu to Lieutenant Commander Ankit Pant as has retired from his role as Commanding Officer of the 1 (AN) Naval Unit NCC. During his tenure, Lt Cdr Pant led with exceptional dedication and played a pivotal role in enhancing the training activities in the islands. During his tenure the cadets actively participated in Republic Day Parade, All India Nausainik Camp, EBSB- IDC at Delhi and numerous Social Service and Community Development activities.
Lieutenant Commander Reyaz Farooq takes charge as the new Commanding Officer of the Unit. Lt Cdr Farooq brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role, having served in various capacities within the Navy.Under the leadership of Lt Cdr Reyaz Farooq, the unit aims to continue its mission of fostering a spirit of adventure, camaraderie, and discipline among the cadets. The unit will focus on further enhancing training programs, participating actively in community service and disaster response efforts. During the ceremony Col Pankaj Modgil, Commanding Officer 1(AN) Indep Inf Coy NCC, ANOs, PI/Civil Staff and Cadets of Army and Naval NCC were present.
