Port Blair, Feb 21: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC placed an SOS message before the Lt. Governor to provide relief to the passengers struck in M.V Nicobar at Vizag. “The passengers who have boarded the vessel started feeling helpless because most of them are from poor background and do not have enough money to meet the extra expenditure on their food nor they can go back to their respective homes,” Sharma said in his telephonic conversation with the Lt. Governor today.
According to a press release issued by PCC today the Lt. Governor has thus, considering the situation, allowed free boarding and lodging to the passengers on board till such time it does not reach to Port Blair.
