Port Blair, May 14: Tohatsu, a Japanese Outboard Engine manufacturer has opened its retail sales and service outlet in Port Blair through its local dealer: Anemco Pvt. Ltd. The outlet situated in South Point was inaugrated by Mr. Sudeep Rai Sharma, Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council, in the presence of prominent members of Andaman and Nicobar Chamber of Commerce (ANCCI) which included Mr. Surendra Prahladka, Mr. K. Chandrashekhar, and Mr. Mohammed Jadwet.
Tohatsu Outboard Motors known for its efficiency and quality have a wide range of OBMs ranging from 2.5HP to 140HP both in 2 strokes and 4 strokes. Mr. Suhehi Tada San and Mr. Tukami Koyama from Tohatsu Japan was also present on the occasion.
Speaking to the media , the director of Anemco Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Ebrahim Jadwet said that Tohatsu has trained local youth of the Islands in Chennai for after sales service, and the main focus of the brand will be to ensure proper after sales service and availability of spare parts. The OBM market in Andaman and Nicobar Islands is expected to grow with opening up of new projects and Islands in future.
