Mayabunder, May 02: Mr. Abdul Siddique, ex Pramukh of Mayabunder, has urgently appealed to the Deputy Commissioner of N & M Andaman District for immediate financial assistance for the victims of the recent fire incident at Billyground Bazaar. The tragic incident, which occurred on the midnight of April 29, 2024, left approximately 14 to 15 shops in ruins.
Mr. Siddique personally witnessed the devastating aftermath of the fire and met with affected individuals who suffered substantial losses to their livelihoods and properties.
In his letter to the Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Siddique urged for immediate assessment of the damages and expedited release of compensation for the affected families’ rehabilitation. He appealed for swift action from the Lt. Governor of ANI and the Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration to address the urgent needs of the affected families.
