Port Blair, Mar 19: Mr. Dilkhush Meena, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, North and Middle Andaman district convened a meeting with officials of electricity department of all the three sub-divisions today and reviewed the status of power supply in the district. He took stock of existing infrastructure, demand and power generation capacity.
The Executive Engineers were directed to ensure regular power supply. In case of load shedding for line clearance and other works, the general public shall be informed in advance. Further, the officials were directed to take up the matter of replacement/procurement of equipment, transformers etc. with the higher authorities on priority. He assured full support and cooperation of the District Administration.
DC(N&MA) had also convened a meeting on 18.03.2024 with officials of APWD to review the financial and physical progress of works and fund utilization. Similar review meetings of the departments will be held every week.
