Port Blair, Mar. 01: Directorate of Social Welfare, A&N Administration in collaboration with Andaman Chambers of Commerce & Industries (ACCI) has conducted a meeting in the chamber of Directorate of Social Welfare regarding taking initiative to empower the Person with Disabilities (PwDs) in the workforce.
In this Regard Dr. Nitin Shakya, Director (Social Welfare), Mr. Arun Srivastava, Executive Secretary, ACCI, Mr. B. Dinesh Kumar, Joint Secretary and Coordinator, ACCI, Mr. Farhan Jadwet, Chairman Youth Wing, ACCI, Mr. Ebrahim Jadwet, Executive Member Youth Wing, ACCI, Mr. Mandeep Grewal, Executive Member Youth Wing, ACCI, Mr. Vikash Lal, Past Chairman Youth Wing, ACCI has attended the meeting.
In the meeting various issues were discussed related to the Skill training and the job placement of the PwDs in these Islands. Mr. Arun Srivastava, Executive Secretary, ACCI has suggested to collect the skill based PwDs candidates detailed information to further the offer of appointment to the PwDs in each sector is Industries serving in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
In this regard Dr. Nitin Shakya, Director (Social Welfare) is inviting fresh applications exclusively for the qualified candidates with skilled individuals with disabilities (PwDs) who are interested in pursuing a career in the private sector across various job functions and levels within the Private organization.
