
Port Blair, 20 Feb: Nehru Yuva Kendra Port Blair proudly organized the State Level Declamation Competition on MyBharat Viksit Bharat @2047 at the Auditorium of Maharashtra Mandal, Port Blair. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from six first winners representing all District Level NYKS of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament for Andaman and Nicobar Islands, addressed the participants, emphasizing the pivotal role of youth in achieving the target of Vikshit Bharat @2047. He highlighted the crucial contributions youth can make towards community development, education, health, and environmental sustainability. Mr. Sharma also outlined the visionary goals for youth in 2047.
The competition showcased impressive oratory skills, with Mr. Anshuv Debnath of GSSS Model, South Andaman District, securing the first position and receiving a cash prize of Rs. 100,000/-. Mr. Prabhat Bairagi from ITI Carnicobar, Nicobar District, secured the second position with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/-, while Miss Anamika Das of GSSS Diglipur and Mitali Dhali of GSS Kadamtala from North and Middle Andaman District jointly secured the third position, each receiving Rs. 25,000/-.
The panel of judges included Sr. RGS Bhaghel, Associate Professor, Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Associate Professor, and Mr. Sukhvinder Singh, Principal of PM Shree KV No1. Mr. Bipin Kumar Chawhan, President of Kamdhenu Gaushala, and Mr. Gorakhnath Patil, President of Maharashtra Mandal, were also present as distinguished guests.
Adding to the event’s motivational ambiance, Mrs. Sabnam Singh, Social Activist, graced the occasion and delivered a powerful speech, instilling confidence in the participants. Her inspiring words resonated with the audience, fostering a spirit of determination and empowerment. While, Dr. Sunita Patil, an ex-volunteer of Nehru Yuva Kendra Port Blair, also extended her valuable support, contributing significantly to the grand success of the event.
Mr. Sukhranjan Biswas, Deputy Director (OSD) of NYKS, delivered a warm welcome speech, setting the tone for the event. Mr. Gopal Ch Biswas of Nehru Yuva Kendra Port Blair efficiently coordinated the program, briefing the audience on the selection criteria parameters. He also expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks.
The event not only celebrated the prowess of the youth but also fostered a sense of responsibility and commitment towards the holistic development of MyBharat Viksit Bharat @2047.
