Port Blair, Jan 24: In a recent meeting with the Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands requested for Conversion of Lands to House sites so that the general public can construct their houses.
The Member of Parliament emphasized many retirees, who have invested their lifetime savings to build homes, are facing huge problems as they are not able to convert their respective land into house sites.
He said that there are also many people who have taken loans from Banks for construction of their houses but are unable to construct houses as their land is not getting converted into House sites.
Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma earnestly appealed for a streamlined process, urging the Lt. Governor to allow the conversion of at least 500 square meters of land to House site to bring relief to the general public.
