Port Blair, Jann 15: In a remarkable initiative to bring together the Islanders in celebration, Member of Parliament Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma organized a vibrant Tamizhar Pongal festival in BathuBasthi, drawing more than 8000 audience.
The festivities kicked off on Saturday, January 13, 2024, with the Samathuva Pongal Padayal at the BathuBasthi Parking Place, PBMC.
The highlight of the event took place today evening, at the BathuBasthi School Ground, where the renowned Madurai Muthu Group, featured on Vijay TV, presented a spectacular entertainment show starting at 5:00 pm. Ms. KovilpattiAnnabharathi and Mr. Naveen added an extra dose of cultural flair to the event.
The entertainment show witnessed an overwhelming response from the community, with thousands of people converging at BathuBasthi ground to revel in the laughter-filled extravaganza. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment, with the ground jam-packed until the end of the program.
“The show got a tremendous response today. People laughed too much and had huge entertainment. The ground was jam-packed until the end of the program,” said an attendee.
