Diglipur, Jan 02: The ‘Pujit Akshata Kalash Yatra’ was organised in Diglipur on 29th Dec. 2023 as part of the Ayodhya Sri Rama Janmabhoomi Mandir Pranapratistha Mahotsava.
A grand ‘Pujit Akshata Kalash Yatra’ (urn procession with worshipped rice) was taken out by the Diglipur Unit of BHP and RSS in association with Sri Sri Radhagovinda Mandir Committee, Diglipur on 29th Dec. in Diglipur as part of the preparations for the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya in January next year.The Yatra started from Sri Sri Radhagovinda Mandir at around 05:00 pm and halted at various temples where the sacred Kalash was worshipped. Thousands of Ram bhakts constituting the Yatra first drew up at Sri Sri Murugan Temple and the pujarirs of the temple performed the puja of the sacred kalash. The Yatra then proceeded to Sri Sri Ram Mandir, Navin Nagar where a similar kind of puja was done in a grand way. The Ram bhakts also worshipped Lord Ganesha and Shiva in the premises of Sri Sri Ram Mandir. The devotees of Sri Ram chanted Yatra Bhajan, Ram Naam chanting and performed nritya in musical rhythm in the yatra which then further marched towards Diglipur Bazaar where the Pujit Akshata Kalash was worshipped at Sri Sri Shani Mandir. The devotees then reached Lord Shiva Mandir and Sri Sri Mariyamma Mandir where similar kind of puja of the sacred Kalash was done. The Yatra halted at Shree Shree Dakshina Kali Mandir, Subhashgram where the Kalash was given its honour by performing the puja.
The Yatra then returned back to Sri Sri Radhagovinda Mandir where Bhajan, Ramsankirtan, Aarti, Rangoli, music, and dance were performed before the culmination of the Pujit Akshata Kalash Yatra. The devotees were then given prasadam at the end, a VHP communique said.
