Port Blair, Dec 24: The programme was jointly organized by CIPMC, Port Blair and the State Agriculture department at Namunaghar village in South Andaman District. The swachhata programme is a cleanliness drive that aims to promote hygiene and sanitation among the farming communities. On the occasion of the Kissan Divas, which involved cleaning the village and educating the farmers about the benefit of cleanliness, it also encouraged farmers to adopt eco-friendly practices and reduce the use of harmful chemicals and pesticides.
