Port Blair, Dec 24: Keeping its commitment of zero tolerance against illegal activities, on 22/12/2023, a team of CID Unit conducted raids in the Prothrapur area near Atta Chakki wheresome people were found to be involved in gambling. The Police team successfully caught all of the Gamblers who tried to flee from the spot. All the 07 people involved were arrested andRs.1,46,400/-in cash was recovered from their possession with board money of Rs.58,700/-. They have beenprosecuted under Sections 5/7 of Andaman and Nicobar Gambling Regulation, 1951.
