Port Blair, Dec. 3: As part of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, an inaugural function was held on Dec. 1 in the Conference Hall of Panchayat Samiti Bhawan, Little Andaman under GP Hutbay. The dignitaries and other representatives of line Departments enlightened the general public about the various GoI schemes and benefits that could be accessed by them.
Various stalls/counters of the line Departments were setup in the conference hall facilitating the general public approaching to know the benefits of the schemes of GoI. Onsite Aadhaar related facilities like new Aadhaar Card updation etc were extended by the Deptt. of CS&CA. Health checkup services were put benefiting the deprived section of the society. The staff of Social Welfare Deptt. disseminated information about various schemes and other information/benefits relating to pregnant women, disabled persons, destitute women & old aged citizens. The Agriculture Deptt. also actively contributed in the event for the benefits of farmers and information related to agriculture practices and adoption of more beneficial ways were explained to the approaching farmers/public. The Revenue Deptt. also contributed towards the success of event. The Revenue Officials distributed SWAMITVA Cards to citizens and also apprised the general public about their rights & limitations etc. Overall, the 1st day of VBSY campaign at Hutbay was a great success.
Meanwhile, as part of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the 2nd day function was held yesterday in the Conference Hall of Panchayat Samiti Bhawan, Little Andaman under GP Netaji Nagar. Shri S. Parmanathan, Pramukh, PSLA, alongwith other dignitaries & PRI members attended the event. Stalls/counters were setup with the cooperation of line Departments.
