Port Blair, Oct. 15:Bye-election for 5 Gram Panchayat Member Constituencies of Laxmanpur-1 Ramnagar-1, Ramnagar-2, Bharatpur-1, Bharatpur-2, of Neil Kendra (Shaheed Dweep) under Port Blair Tehsil and 01 Gram Panchayat Member Laxmi Nagar Constituency of Laxmi Nagar Gram Panchayat under Campbell Bay Tehsil respectively was held today from 8 AM to 4 PM. The Polled materials have been kept in the identified strong rooms and the entire election process was held in a free, fair and transparent manner.
The Polled percentages for the respective Gram Panchayat Member Constituencies are as under:-

4 Gram Panchayat Member Constituency Bharatpur-1 of Neil Kendra (Shaheed Dweep) under Port Blair Tehsil. (Seat- Reserved for Women) 80.54%
5 Gram Panchayat Member Constituency Bharatpur-2 of Neil Kendra (Shaheed Dweep) under Port Blair Tehsil. (Seat- General) 77.65%
6 Gram Panchayat Member Laxmi Nagar Constituency of Laxmi Nagar Gram Panchayat under Campbell Bay Tehsil. (Seat- General) 68.45%
The counting of votes of the aforesaid Gram Panchayat Member shall be held on 17/10/2023 from 8 AM onwards at their respective Counting Centres.
