Port Blair, Sep 25: An awareness programme on women safety and POCSO was conducted on 23.09.2023 in a befitting manner by the Police Personal, Police Station Katchal in the School Auditorium of GSSS Kapanga to create awareness among the students and teachers by Sub Inspector Mr. Subramani Station House Officer and his team.
He also briefed about the various sections dealing with sexual harassment, punishment he also highlighted Nirbhaya Scheme, good and bad touch, juvenile law, care and protection. He urged students to raise complaints on such crimes.
The programme was coordinated by Mr. Suresh J Panicker and the programme concluded with vote of thanks by the teacher incharge of the School Mrs. Joselyn Samuel (PGT).
