Port Blair, Aug 06: On 06th August 2023, Andaman Helping Hands, A&N Islands (AHHANI) and Allu Arjun Army Andaman (AAAA) conducted the Swachtha Abhiyan as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav @75 Years of Independence of India in collaboration with Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC), Hemanth Creations Port Blair and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Port Blair at Marina Park Beach, Port Blair on the occasion of Friendship Day.
The cleanliness drive was graced by Dr. Muruganandam, Scientist D’, RMRCPB, ICMR, Port Blair and during this drive, Volunteers were removed off total 13 bags of garbage were collected from Marina Park Beach which consisted all type of mixed garbage like plastics materials, Alcoholic bottles (Two bags containing about 193 bottles), Tetra packs, Water bottles, wastage shoes, sandals, plastic bags followed by waste Plastic chairs and ropes etc.
Volunteers raised slogans with great enthusiasm and patriotism as Clean Andaman -Green Andaman and Bharat Mata ki Jai at the end of the event. Thanks to each and every volunteer for their participation and support.
