Port Blair, July 27: On 20.06.2023 the house of Mr. K Tata Rao, S/o K Govinda, R/o Minnie Bay was damaged/burned due to a fire accident. This also caused damages to household goods, clothing & utensils of Mr. K Jagdish S/o Mr. K Tata Rao, R/o Minnie Bay & Mr. N KurmaRao, S/o Mr. N Loknadham R/o Minnie Bay who were tenants.
In order to provide relief and succor to the adversely affected families, the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman has sanctioned an amount of 1,30,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Thirty Thousand Only) towards ex-gratia/ immediate relief for house and household damages to the victims in terms of the revised SDRF norms of assistance for the year 2022-23 to 2025-26.
