Port Blair, Jan 08: Under the Chairmanship of Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, INTUC, a meeting was held on 4th January at Wimberlygunj in the Conference hall of Gram Panchayat with the employees of Electricity Department, where a new union was formed in the name of “Electricity Employees Union South Andaman”. In the meeting Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has been elected as President while MA Manaf, Miss VK Mariam Bibi, Zilla Parishad Member and Social worker and AP Jabir, Pradhan, Manarghat Gram Panchayat were elected as Vice President.
In this meeting, Mr. KP Aboobacker was elected as General Secretary, Mr. VM Rafique as Joint Secretary, Mrs. Vijaylaxmi as Organizing Secretary, Mr. Abdul Manaf as Treasurer, and Mr. K Sulaiman, Social Worker was elected as Advisor. Besides, other nine executive members were also selected.
