Diglipur, July 13: Inter School Zonal Level Knock-out Football Tournament- 2023-24 under 17 years (Boys & Girls) and under 14 years (Boys) for selection of teams for participation in the State Level Football Tournament kicked off in Diglipur today.
As per information, the opening ceremony of this sport event was organized by the Educational Zone, Diglipur at the playground of the Vivekananda Stadium, Diglipur today.
On the inaugural day, the first match (under 17 years Boys) of the tournament was played between GSSS Kalighat v/s GSS Parangara in which GSSS Kalighat won the match by 2-0 (goals).
Similarly, second match (under 17 years Boys) was played between GSSS Subhashgram v/s GSS Shibpur in which GSSS Subhashgram won the match by 5-0 (goals), while the 3rd match (under 17 years Boys) of the tournament was played between GSS Ramnagar v/s GSS Swarajgram in which GSS Ramnagar won the match by 1-0 (goal).
Mr. P.R. Singaram, Pradhan Gram Panchayat Subhashgram was the Chief Guest on this sport inaugural event. The Pradhan and the Deputy Education Officer, Diglipur interacted with the players to boost the morale of the budding soccer players.
