Port Blair, July 06: Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation is celebrating Swachhta Pakhwada from 1st July to 15th July 2023 under “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan” and as part of the Pakhwada, National Statistical Office (NSO) Port Blair carried out cleanliness drive in and around Community Hall and Play ground in Ward No.15. On 06.07.2023 later the staff members went around Ward No.15 to educate the residents on waste management and conservation of water. They were informed on various methods to save water and to avoid plastic, segregate dry and wet waste before properly disposing of them. Banners on water conservation, Disposal of Swachhta Pakhwada were inaugurated by Mr. S.Prakash, Assistant Director. A Swachhta Pledge was taken by the staff members in the office premises of NSO situated in the Kendriya Sadan, Lamba Line.
