Port Bair, Jan 07: Following a news item published by Andaman Sheekha on 5th January 2013, regarding blockade of road by for construction of park, the Deputy Commissioner, Sub Divisional Magistrate and Tehsildar of South Andaman today inspected the post. During the inspection the Deputy Commissioner directed the authorities to leave 6 mtrs space for the approach road, for the convenience of general public.
Andaman Sheekha, English Daily had published a news on 05th January, 2013 issue regarding protested by public living in Rajiv Nagar (near PBSD office) against the move of APWD to construct a park on a vacant land, which is the only entry and exit point for nearly 30 families living there.
