Port Blair, June 23: ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder has demanded the Administration for organizing Ayurveda Health Camps at South Andaman, North & Middle Andaman and at Nicobar District of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
In a letter addressed to the Directorate of Health Services, A & N Administration, Mr. Halder said that Ayurveda Camps can play a vital role in improving the health and wellness of the residents of our beautiful islands.
He stated that with emphasis on preventive care and personalized treatment, Ayurveda has the potential to address various health issues and promote overall wellness. Unfortunately, access to Ayurvedic healthcare facilities is limited in our region, particularly in the remote areas of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
He mentioned that “The presence of qualified Ayurvedic doctors and practitioners in these camps would help in diagnosing health conditions, offering personalized treatment plans, and will suggest appropriate dietary and lifestyle changes to improve overall health ”.
Considering the geographical challenges faced by our islanders, these camps would not only provide medical consultation but also educate individuals about Ayurvedic principles, lifestyle modifications, and traditional remedies for common ailments, ‘he added’.
He has further requested the Medical Administration to consider their demands for organizing the Ayurveda health camps in every district of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
