Port Blair, June 19: Father’s Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of every June. The day is dedicated to honoring the father and his love and rituals and his contribution in raising the child without any complaints. On the evening of June 18, 2023, Father’s Day was celebrated on behalf of the people of Dharampur village of Shivapuram Panchayat at Dharampur Community Hall and on this auspicious occasion, the Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Shivapuram Mr. Venkateswar Rao as the Chief guest along with the Guest of Panchayat Secretary Gram Panchayat Shivapuram Mr. G.Senthil Kumar with the PRI’s members of Shivapuram panchayat
The evening was started with the lighting the lamp by the Pradhan and Panchayat Secretary and followed by PRI’s, member then the Chief Guest were honored with bouquet and shawl by dignitaries of Dharampur village. After which the senior citizens were honoured by the little kids with a bouquet and shawl after the Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Shivapuram Mr. Venkateswar Rao Chief Guest and Mr. G Senthil Kumar panchayat secretary guest of honor of the evening gave a gratitude speech and share their views on father day and told the public that why it’s being celebrated. After which the evening got kick started with the cultural programmes like singing and dancing performance. Along with this, arrangements were also made for dinner for the audience on behalf of the villagers of Dharampur.
