Port Blair, June 04: The General Body meeting of the Clerical Cadre Branch of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association was held at Port Blair on 03rd June, 2023. Inaugurating the meeting, Mrs. P. Sathyapal, former President, NGOs’ Association and former Assistant Secretary, Raj Niwas explained in detail about the importance of being associated with a recognized Association which is a genuine right of a govt. servant. He also appealed to the members of the Association to remain united and raise their genuine demands before the authorities. Mrs. R. Surendran Pillai, President, CITU also addressed the members in the meeting and recalled the sacrifices made by the leaders of NGOs’ Association in the past. Earlier, Mrs. Usha Rajendran, Vice President of the branch welcomed the gathering and briefed about the activities of the branch during the intervening period. The meeting discussed various important issues pertaining to the AC Cadre employees working under A & N Administration which included (i) Review of Admn Order/Letter imposing Dies-Non and Held up of Salary (ii) Constitution of Transfer and Posting Committee for streamlining Transfer and posting and yearly publishing of posting profile of all the AC Cadre staff (iii) Timely promotion to all category of AC Cadre Employees (iv) Pay up gradation and Change of Nomenclature etc. Mrs. Nasreen Begum, Vice President, Mrs. S. L. Vinjit, Asst. General Secretary, Mrs. R. K. Nag, Asst. The General Secretary also attended the meeting. The meeting elected a new committee of the Clerical Cadre Branch for this year. Several AC Cadre employees from the South Andaman area attended the meeting. Mrs. Salman Khan, Office Secretary proposed the Vote of Thanks.
