Port Blair, June 01: Commodore M Rajkumar assumed command of Naval Ship Repair Yard (NSRY), Port Blair on 31 May 23, from Commodore R Vaidhyanathan. He was commissioned in the Indian Navy on 26 Nov 1994 and has held numerous significant afloat and ashore appointments throughout his illustrious career. Before assuming his present appointment, Commodore M Rajkumar served as the Officer in Charge at SOT (Severodvinsk) in Russia. He brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role.
The Naval Ship Repair Yard, located in Port Blair, is the largest industrial establishment of the Andaman & Nicobar Command (ANC) and serves as the nerve center for all refit and repair activities of ships and yard craft based at Port Blair, as well as for visiting Indian warships and friendly foreign vessels.
